Ok so i finally saved up enough money to purchase an I-Mac, it had been dangling on a string above me for a long time but i finally jumped up there and grabbed it……and boy does it feel good.
Gone are the days of my tempramental home PC foaming with viruses and bugs…not contracted by me ofcourse. The days have arrived of greener pastures filled with little shiny red apples… okay off topic now.
Anyway i bought my self a really nice clean glass desk to put my tropy I-Mac utop, connected my logitec speakers and woofer.. and well sat back and gazed in amazement and what i had created…. my own little space.
However this got me thinking… i really want to customize this space. Like when some one buys a car they put speakers in it, exhaust pipes, rims, body kits and the list goes on. I want to do this for my mac.
I had a search around the net for other peoples set up! as i like to call them and came across a nice little site http://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/news/25-of-the-best-home-office-mac-setups/
This site goes on to explain the concept of setting up your own little space for you and your mac. That PC users dont really care about the design of their products, but us Mac users really do.
ok so the article goes on to explain the key characteristics for creating a nice clean setup. These are
Form and Function:
Just the Necessities
Where to Put the Junk
Setting the Mood
Nothing but Air
Add Apple Art
These concepts help one to create the most ergonomic workplace, and things im taking into consideration.
Then theres the concept of a setup that suites you
Do you work in an office, at home, in a dorm, in your bedroom ect
there are all sorts of ways to set up your space that will leave you feeling like your not at work at all.
The DJ Setup

The Dorm room

angled for those of us with no space

oh yeah and for those of us that are rich

and my personal favourite the ULTIMATE setup

so after going over this idea of mac users customising their space i thought i should check those PC users!
And the answer is yes they do make setups but they reeally are kinda….MEH

So after having a little research and play… i have decided that yes i will customize my little space!
